Saggy Chops losing the plot - Terry to join West Ham
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3441405/Harry-Redknapp-Chelsea-defender-John-Terry-join-West-Ham-summer.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490

Harry Redknapp has urged John Terry to join his former club West Ham in the summer.
The defender has spoken publicly about his disappointment that Chelsea have not yet opened contract talks with him when his current deal is set to expire at the end of the season.
Terry insists he will not play for another club in England, but Redknapp would like to see him turn out for West Ham, where he spent four years as a youth player, at the Olympic Park.
West Ham would be a good move for West Ham and John,’ Redknapp said. ‘He was at West Ham as a schoolboy.’
Terry, born in Barking, is an east London boy and joined West Ham’s academy after impressing for local Sunday League side Senrab, who have been the spring board for other youngsters including Sol Campbell and Jermain Defoe.
Terry played in midfield for West Ham before leaving to join Chelsea aged 14 and eventually moving to centre-back, where he has carved our a career as one of the top players of his generation.

The days of us poking about in a skip like old man Steptoe for other people's cast-off are hopefully long behind us. Like Redknapp.

He's like a bird you used to knock around with when you were young and off your tits, and you thought she was a lot of fun, but years down the road and in the cold light of day you shudder.

I don't think he has it in him to step up all those league places.

Totally agree. Injuries excepted, we have 4 very good CBs to choose and a couple more (hopefully) on the fringes in Burke and Oxford. Why buy John Terry - he represents the past not the future. Most of all he doesn't fit the culture that Slav is building here.

Would be the greatest humiliation ever.

Thankfully it won't happen, he fucking hates us too

I'm not sure we need a 6th choice CB.

I think Reid and Ogbonna are better than Terry.

Fuck me I'd rather vote labour than see that waste of oxygen any where near us.

We got four decent centre halves. We don't need another one and certainly not one who earns 150 grand a week.

Re: Saggy Chops losing the plot - Terry to join West Ham
Remember, even if we were interested, Terry would still want to join us. I actually tend to believe him when he says he won't play for another club in England, he would have seen how odd it looked with Lampard doing it, and let's be honest that did not look right seeing him at Man City, and he will not want to go down that road himself. He will either stay put or go US or China.

P - To be fair he is good enough to play for Chelsea, one of the first names on the sheet right now.

I never could quite understand the logic behind Terry not being good enough to play for Chelsea but would 'do a job' for West Ham?

What sort of job? A not good enough one, I assume?

Harry is Harry leave him be, he has the right to talk out of his jacksie just like everyone else.

Anyway though I am not for it but would it be such a monumental bad thing if Terry did join West Ham ?, agree we are moving on from buying old goats but Terry could do a job for a few more seasons as a sub or back up it may even rejuvenate him as a player coming back to his roots.
Though I think he would do far better going abroad and taking the money.

''Cant see this happening in a million years to be honest, but nothing much surprises me in modern day football ''

What does modern day football have to do with it? We have always signed over the hill 'big names' at the end of their careers and put them on big deals...but as mentioned earlier we have now thankfully moved on from that.

Why do some people feel the need to post up shit like this...fucks sake, why? It's a complete NON-STORY and all we end up with is the usual slagging off of Redknapp. A waste of time all round.

What, has "Arry" become JT,s agent or something, after a bung or a slice of the sign on fee?.

Cant see this happening in a million years to be honest, but nothing much surprises me in modern day football

''NO real West Ham fan would want John Terry back at the club and if Redknapp fails to see why then he really isn't one of us''

Thats because he isn't. He is all about Harry and was born and brought up a Gooner - these days an utter irrelevence, confined to saying something, anything, anywhere for a pound or two.

Harry hasn't realised that we don't buy washed up players and put them on huge contracts anymore.
